Black Faculty Association
The Black Faculty Association (BFA) at Oakland University (OU) increases the visibility of Black faculty and fosters a greater sense of inclusion and community among Black faculty, administrators, staff, and students.
We continue to develop and promote working relationships with OU’s senior administrator and serve as a trusted resource for OU faculty, providing a platform for meaningful exchanges by leveraging the scholarship, teaching and service work of the BFA members at OU, as well as through mentoring, coaching, professional development, and networking activities.
The BFA provides an organized support system enriches the existing diversity initiatives and supports the academic and diversity mission at OU. We also engage with community partners to conduct outreach activities and cultural events. We are dedicated to serving you and the community.
